What we need
Kāinga Ora requires an experienced construction contractor to provide remediation and refurbishment work to the twelve units within the starblock and the grounds at 18 Frances Street, Hamilton.
The key objectives of this procurement are to reset the lifecycle of the building for a further 50 years, whilst achieving best public value for money.
The works required include: remediation of building exterior defects and weather tightness issues, roof replacement, services replacement, security improvements, and landscaping works to improve visual and communal amenity of the site.

This notice is to provide advance notification of Kāinga Ora’s intention to release an ROI (Registration of Interest) to the market week commencing 14 December 2020.
The anticipated closing date for registrations of interest is noon 18 January 2021.
The ROI will be published via GETS. It is the first step in a two-stage procurement process. Following evaluation of ROI responses, shortlisted respondents will be invited to submit a full proposal in response to a Request for Proposals (RFP).
