Overview

Kāinga Ora- Homes and Communities is a new Crown agency that brings together the people, capabilities and resources of KiwiBuild, Housing New Zealand, and its development subsidiary HLC. This will enable a more joined-up approach to supporting the Government's priorities for housing and urban development in Aotearoa New Zealand.

The new agency is charged with being a world class public housing landlord and leading integrated urban development. Kāinga Ora will partner with developers, councils, Maori, government agencies, local communities, and others to enable, facilitate and deliver urban development projects of all sizes. These projects will provide people with good quality, public, affordable and market homes that connect to the jobs, transport, open spaces and facilities needed for communities to thrive. Kāinga Ora will also play an essential role in tackling the Government's priorities of ending homelessness and making homes in New Zealand more affordable.

Project:
The Auckland Housing Programme (AHP) aims to deliver up to 22,500 new homes on underutilised State home land. As part of the AHP, the Roskill Precinct will be redeveloped over 10-15 years and will see an estimated 2,500 old state homes replaced with up to 10,000 new homes.
The Wesley Development, sits at the centre of the Roskill Precinct in close proximity to Auckland CBD and with easy access to Auckland airport. It is the largest neighbourhood within the Roskill Precinct both in area and potential housing yield.

Services:
This RFP is for a consultant group to carry out Transport Consultancy services, which will be used as the basis for the Wesley regeneration project.

Contract Type:
The contract will be the Kāinga Ora Agreement for Consultant Engagement (CCCS).
