Kāinga Ora (formally known as Housing New Zealand) and the Ministry Housing and Urban Development (HUD) are committed to providing office spaces for their staff that are accessible, safe, functional and encourage collaboration to support them in providing the best possible service to the many New Zealanders we serve.
Kāinga Ora and HUD referred to as the “Agencies”, both require larger office spaces due to organisational growth. The Agencies are in the final stages of securing a lease for 6 floors, within a Wellington building described in 2.2 below.
The Agencies have combined their project requirements to issue a joint Registration of Interest (ROI) to the market in an effort to reduce costs by combining resources.

This is an invitation to suitably qualified suppliers to submit a Registration for the Post House Construction Hard Fit-Out Phase contract opportunity.
b. This ROI is the first step in a two-step procurement process. Following evaluation a maximum of three suppliers shortlisted will be invited to submit a full proposal in response to a Request for Proposals (RFP). This document deals only with the first step i.e. the ROI process.
c. It is our intention to award a contract to the preferred supplier in January.

The Agencies will seek to appoint a suitable supplier to provide Construction Services for hard fit-out works for their new office spaces situated at Post House Building 7 Waterloo Quay, Wellington. The space is approximately 10,000m2 over 6 floors with an estimated project cost of $10M.
The preferred supplier will be able to provide:
1. Planning stages completed by February 2020
2. Staged construction to commence in March 2020
3. Staged construction to be completed in accordance with the Contract and the Requirements in June 2020
