HNZ (and other cluster agencies) has a requirement to undertake chemical decontamination on a number of sites across New Zealand. There is no current HNZ preferred supplier panel or large scale contract to provide either methamphetamine decontamination or asbestos removal works.

HNZ proposes to establish an umbrella panel for the provision of chemical and asbestos testing services and chemical decontamination works for methamphetamine and asbestos contaminated properties. This procurement will also be on behalf of other cluster agencies as a closed syndicated procurement.
The umbrella panel will comprise two subgroups:

The provision of chemical testing services for methamphetamine and asbestos - this is currently being addressed by a separate procurement process;

The provision of chemical decontamination works for methamphetamine and asbestos.
This ROI is part of the process to establish the sub-panel of chemical decontamination providers solely for chemical decontamination works.

Please note: HNZ plans to establish this Panel under a Closed Cluster Syndicated Agreement with a number of other agencies; these agencies will be named in the subsequent RFP.
