The purposes of this procurement process are:

To gain a current market view of the types of suppliers providing Building Warrant of Fitness Compliance Services, the delivery models used and the most effective and efficient way for HNZ to gain provision of these works and services;
Short-list suitable suppliers to deliver the works and services.

We will consider proposals to deliver the required services either as:

a) One supplier providing all the required services
b) Multiple suppliers providing single specified systems services either regionally or nationally
c) Innovative service delivery proposals that deliver the required services

Background
Our current building compliance services contract has been in place since 2013 and operates under the following model. Supplier works with our Tenancy Managers to coordinate access to our BWoF sites and properties (note: some sites have multiple properties) to complete relevant specified systems inspections, testing and coordination of maintenance services and compliance schedule activities.

Maintenance services are provided as a combination of supplier completing required repair and/or replace services or liaising with our contact centre for the appropriately qualified contracted supplier to complete repair/replace services

Fire Safety:
Third party Consultant Fire Engineer prepares fire safety designs to meet the requirements of Building Code and HNZ safety standards, reviewing and approving contractor design drawings and quotes for HNZ fire safety installations, reviewing contractor completion documents after completion of the work, reviewing contractor audit reports and assisting the current supplier to resolve any technical issues

Brigade connection services (monitoring the connection from buildings to the Fire Service) are provided by a Third party supplier
