Overview

Request for Proposal for Large Woody Debris by Council

Gisborne District Council (GDC) is establishing a Large Woody Debris (LWD) Contractor Panel to deliver end-to-end extraction, treatment, transport, and disposal works across rivers, streams and coastal areas in Tairāwhiti.

Panel membership pre-qualifies suppliers under the Master Services Agreement (MSA) (Extraction & Treatment of LWD); site-specific packages will then be competed among Panel Members via RFQs, with awards issued as Statements of Work (SOWs) under the MSA (no guarantee of work).

Respondents must be capable of complete project delivery (self-delivered or managed subcontracting) across core workstreams such as access/temporary works, arboriculture and safe handling, processing/disposal, logistics, environmental management, and stakeholder/landowner engagement, and must meet H&S pre-qualification (e.g., Tōtika/SHEQual) and accept the MSA terms.

Three attachments form part of this RFP:

All questions should be submitted (and will be answered) via GETS, and the deadline is 23 Sept 2025 at 5pm.

The RFP deadline is 26 Sept 2025 at 5pm.
