Overview

The Gisborne District Council has an ongoing need for specialist engineering and project management support in the Community Lifelines Journeys Team. The Gisborne District Council (Council) is seeking support in providing MSQA for the delivery of the recovery programmes following Cyclone Gabrielle and subsequent events. These programmes include slip and drop out repairs to the roading network and woody debris removal from rivers and beaches within the district.

It is our intention to:
• Establish a network of preferred engineering professional services suppliers that will work with us to provide medium-term engineering and project management support.
• Streamline the procurement process to allow greater flexibility to match the level of resource engaged with the demands of the recovery programme.
• Develop a partnering environment where we benefit from engineering innovation and excellence that delivers the best holistic solution for our ratepayers and visitors to the city.
• Include local, national, and international suppliers as necessary, and to encompass major organisations and small specialists.
