Gisborne District Council is going through the process of implementing a Plan Change (Plan Change 7) to the Tairāwhiti Resource Management Plan (TRMP), under the Resource Management Act 1991. This Plan Change will introduce new policy and rules under section C6 ‘Freshwater’ in relation to managing forestry harvest discharges; giving effect to the National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management (NPS-FW) in relation to the same.
