There are approximately 1700m of critical wastewater assets in Gisborne’s wastewater network that need to be renewed during the 2019/20 financial year. Gisborne District Council is seeking contractors to design liners fit for purpose to extend the useful life of the assets with at least a further 50 years and successfully install the liners before June 2020.

An estimated $1.3million for the design, tendering, MSQA and construction has been allocated to this programme for the 2019/20 financial year, with a similar amount (including escalation) committed annually for the next 9 years. This project aligns with the Annual Plan Strategy and budget has been approved for it.
