Overview

Gisborne District Council is looking for a contractor to supply and install stormwater pipes of various materials and sizes, construct manholes and inlet structures and an outlet structure along Rutene Road, Gisborne. This work is to improve the capacity of the Rutene Road stormwater system to reduce the likelihood of flooding of the surrounding area.

Tender responses are sought from contractors with appropriate experience, a good track record delivering similar projects for regional and local authorities, and current capacity to deliver the works on time and within budget.

The upgrade programme is staged over three financial years with this tender being for the construction of the first stage, due for completion before July 2020. The contract commencement date for stage 1 is anticipated to be around mid-November 2019, subject to acceptance and approval of qualifying tender responses.
