The Department is seeking an architectural design that will encompass the following outcomes:
• A fit for purpose hut design that reflects the UNESCO World Heritage area the Oturere hut is a part of
• A sustainable design for the construction and long-term use of the hut
• Understanding of iwi values and the significance of the Tongariro National Park to local iwi
• Consultation time with the Department to ensure the design delivers the required outcomes.
• Structural engineer designs (wind and snow loadings)
• Design and working drawings for Oturere hut.
