Overview

This opportunity is for the construction of timber boardwalk structures and track construction works on the Rakiura Track (Great Walk) and Chocolate Swamp Boardwalk, both of which are located within Rakiura National Park. On the Rakiura Track the works comprise: construction of up to 1,200m of timber boardwalk, timber boxed steps, timber 'stringer steps' - this is to be delivered at up to 45 discrete locations over approximately 18.5 kms of the track. A 7m x 7m timber shelter and Norski 'Wilderness' toilet is also part of the scope of works. The Chocolate Swamp Bordwalk works comprise: replacement of structural components of the existing 550m long boardwalk structures and replacement of some structural piles where this is identified as required.
