Overview

This procurement seeks to appoint an experienced Contractor for the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) process to work collaboratively with DOC and Iwi to review the scope of works and provide expertise on buildability within the approved budget and required timeframe.
The Contractor is expected to understand and carefully consider environmental aspects and to integrate these considerations throughout their approach to the design of the demolition and refurbishment programme for Otakawhe Lodge, located within Otakawhe Bay, Waiheke Island (Auckland Inner Islands).
This RFP relates to the initial ECI phase, with the construction phase to proceed separately following completion of the ECI phase. The intent is to award the construction phase to the successful ECI participant, subject to the achievement of KPIs and mutual agreement on the project schedule and cost.
Participants should consider the isolated nature of the site, the requirement for strict adherence to budget and schedule, and the potential for the proposed works to have adverse environmental impacts.
