Overview
Each year the kakī recovery programme breeds 100-150 birds. One of the three aviaries was removed due to structural failures. To support the kakī recovery programme, the Department of Conservation (DOC) is procuring a qualified and experienced steel building contractor to undertake the construction of a new steel framed superstructure. The building design will include mesh cladding, concrete pad footing, steel meshed doors. The contractor will also be required to undertake sourcing of specialised materials.
