Overview

The Department of Conservation conducts Wild Animal Management on public conservation land, and priority areas adjoining public conservation land, where these animals are impacting on ecological or environmental values. The Department currently has an established national panel of suppliers to deliver Wild Animal Ground Control hunting.

The Panel is now up for its first right of renewal, and the Department will be opening the Panel up for any interested and capable suppliers to apply.

The intention is to run an open Request for Proposal (RFP) process. When the process commences, potential respondents will be able to submit a proposal that demonstrates how their approach meets the requirements and evaluation criteria outlined in the RFP. The full submission criteria and RFP process will be published on GETS in June 2026. With the intention of having the Panel fully established by September 2026.

For any existing suppliers on the panel, please make sure any certifications and insurances that are currently required are up to date.

Note: This is a Future Procurement Opportunity (FPO). It is an alert to providers of a potential upcoming procurement activity, though it does not represent a commitment by Department of Conservation to procure. When the RFP is live, interested providers will only be able to ask questions via GETS and answers will only be published via GETS. The RFP will provide information about how providers can ask questions.

DOC is not taking questions at this time.
