This Tender is for construction of structures at Okere Falls nearby Rotorua and includes: The construction of a new platform to provide viewing of the historic hydro site and rapids, known as Chute Steps Platform, repairs to the viewing platform at the cave, known as caves gantry and replacement and repairs of the two steel barriers on the walk down to the cave, known as Upper barrier and Lower barrier repair.

Tenderers are encouraged to visit the site at any time with no appointment being required. Persons undertaking site visits shall, as a minimum, at all times during visits, comply with all Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 requirements, sturdy footwear and wet weather gear and any other requirements, as specified in these Tender Documents.

• To remove existing barriers and establish a safe working area with safety controls around water and falls.
• To supply the materials and labour required allowing for the realising of engineer’s plans
• Build a new platform and handrail at site one, known as Chute barrier at the bottom of concrete steps
• Repair the platform and rail at site two known as the cave’s gantry platform.
• Replace the upper pipe barrier and refix brackets on the lower pipe barrier on the stairs forming the approach to the cave.
• All to be completed to the supplied engineer’s plans.
