Overview

The Department of Conservation has been successful in securing funding to address compliance and infrastructure concerns related to the delivery of Whakapapa three wasters services in Tongariro National Park. As part of this investment there will be four procurements released to the market in stages over the next 9 months and will include:

Wastewater Pipe Rehabilitation - Services for the design, repair and replacement of wastewater pipes and related infrastructure, released 8 August 2022​.
Drinking Water Treatment Plant, Storage and Infrastructure Upgrade - Services for the design and replacement of an above-ground water reservoir, the design and installation of a new water treatment plant and associated infrastructure, estimated for release February 2023.
Wastewater Dispersal Fields - Services for the construction of additional effluent dispersal fields, estimated for release March 2023​.
Drinking Water Network Rehabilitation - Services for the repair and replacement of potable water reticulation infrastructure, estimated for release May 2023​.

The Project Team will be delivering an online engagement session at 10.30am on Thursday, 25 August 2022 to those organisations that are interested in hearing more about these opportunities.
