Overview
The southern portion of the Catchpool Valley, Remutaka Forest Park was planted in radiata pine in the 70-80s by the NZ Forest Service. The Department of Conservation wishes to harvest and sell all of the remaining stand - approximately 39 ha. There are existing roads and skid sites providing some access throughout the forest area.
The Department is looking for proposals from suitably experienced companies to manage the harvest and sale process on their behalf.
