Overview

This RFP relates to the purchase of Programme Management services for the coordination and management of stages one and/or two (as per outline in RFP) of the Milford Opportunities Project (MOP), the Mackenzie/Aoraki long term destination plan, and the South Westland Glaciers long-term visitor management plan (spatial plans).

These three long-term visitor management plans (spatial plans) are in different, early stages of development. The aim is to drive forward the Government’s vision to increase the connectivity between conservation, culture and tourism to create a local visitor economy that is productive, sustainable and inclusive.

This work is to support the Regional Visitor Planners to undertake their activities to develop and contribute to the content of the spatial plans by undertaking the disciplines of project management. The Programme Manager will report to the project lead of each project. Any Project Coordinator or additional support resource to the Project Manager should report to the Project Manager.

A summary of our requirements is to establish the programme framework and manage stages one and two as appropriate for each project between contract selection and 30 June 2020 using best practice programme management. The contract may be renewed up to December 2020 to finalise stage two depending on budget available in following financial year
