Overview
The Department of Conservation is seeking a geological hazard assessment and LiDAR survey of the Pouakai Crossing in Egmont National Park.
As part of a project to upgrade the Crossing, the Department requires an assessment of the areas at risk of landslide, rockfall and other geological hazards, plus a recommendation for alignment of the track to minimise exposure of visitors to these hazards.
The LiDAR survey will be used to assist with determining the alignment of the track but can also be used to inform the hazard assessment.
