The Department of Conservation will be issuing multiple Requests for Tender (RFT) for suitably qualified providers of walking track upgrade services to undertake works including boardwalk construction, track surfacing, boxed step construction and various other mitigation measures on walking tracks in Kauri forests in Northland, Auckland, Coromandel, Waikato and Great Barrier Island. Numerous RFTs will be issued via GETS, each consisting of a package covering work on one or more sites within an area.
Completion of a Contractor Hygiene and Technical Training Workshop by each senior staff member who will be directly leading physical work is mandatory for any organisation wishing to respond to these tenders. Tender responses from potential suppliers who have not attended a DOC Kauri Dieback Project – Contractor Hygiene and Technical Training Workshop will not be considered.
