The Department intends to issue multiple Requests for Tender (RFT) over a 2 year period for suitably qualified suppliers to provide track upgrade services to address the prevention of Kauri Die Back disease on track networks throughout the Northern North Island Region. The packages of work may include one or more tracks within a location. We expect to release the first RFT via GETS in early to mid February 2016.

To support advanced planning and successful delivery of the proposed solutions, prospective suppliers must attend a mandatory workshop to understand the nature of the disease and the Department’s proposals to mitigate the spread. Attendance at the workshop is mandatory, and suppliers’ proposals will be deemed to be non-conforming should suppliers not attend. The first workshop is scheduled to take place in February 2016, and subsequent workshops will be arranged as required.

This Notice of Information was issued to provide details of the mandatory site meeting, attendance at which is required for supplier’s participation in the works.
