Overview

The Dunedin City Council (DCC) utilises Carbon Dioxide dosing at Southern and Mount Grand Water Treatment Plants (WTPs) to ensure compliance with the New Zealand drinking water standards and to provide corrosion control in the reticulated water pipe network.

The DCC’s current supply contract needs to be renewed, and we seek to partner for the longer term with an option of 7 years supply subject to performance. This is an opportunity to ensure we realise the optimum services and value for money provision of CO2 supplies for coming years.

Continuity of supply is important, we require reliable and continual supply of liquid CO2 irrespective of supply chain disruptions. We want to partner with a Supplier that has the track record and experience of delivering on time every time. The supplier must have a robust understanding of its supply chain and have contingency plans in place if disruptions occur. Installation (if applicable), and ongoing certification and maintenance of the bulk storage tanks is vital for this contract. We want to engage a Supplier with robust planning and maintenance systems for their tanks.
