The successful Contractor and subcontractors will be required to work in consultation with heritage specialists appointed by the DCC.

We seek submissions from suitably qualified and experienced electrical contractors. It is important for us that we work with a Contractor experienced in electrical work on heritage buildings and can demonstrate a track record of completing compliant work in a sympathetic manner whilst preserving the original heritage fabric. We require the Contractor to adhere to programme to ensure our project deadline of 30 September 2026 is achieved. The Contractor will need to efficiently utilise the two-month period (July/August) when the building is closed to the public to carry out all work in public areas.

A site visit is scheduled for this tender. Accurate data is vital for the efficient management of Dunedin’s roading network. Traffic counting data is required to support the development and calibration of traffic estimates across the Dunedin City Council (DCC) road network.

The DCC is aiming to partner with an appropriately skilled, experienced and qualified organisation to deliver our traffic counting requirements. The main scope of the contract includes traffic, cycle counts and placement and removal of intersection cameras.

The DCC is keen to receive proposals from respondents that can clearly demonstrate a successful track-record of delivery in similar contracts. Most important is the methodology and in their response, respondents must clearly demonstrate their proposed technology can gather high quality relevant data. Through this contract we want to achieve:
• Compliance with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) requirements
• Value for Money
• A collaborative communication & working relationship.
• Innovation and efficiencies
• Health and safety being well managed with robust procedures in place for managing risks.

A contract term of 3 years, 10 months is proposed as this timeframe aligns with the expiry of DCC's current road maintenance contract. It is envisaged our future traffic monitoring services will be included in a new road maintenance contract from 1 May 2030.

The project has been undertaken in stages. The next stage of the project is to extend the existing shared path to Harrington Point.
The DCC wants to partner with an experienced and capable contractor to construct a three metre (3m) wide boardwalk in Latham Bay, Portobello, between the Portobello Boat Club and Portobello Township.

What’s most important:
The safe, sustainable and effective delivery of works is essential.
The construction methodology must consider the safety needs of working in a harbour, as well as the strict environmental controls required.
Working within the harbour also has a cultural impact. The DCC wants to partner with suppliers that understand that impact and can adopt an approach to the works that includes tikaka.
Effective traffic management is essential. The DCC wants to partner with a supplier that can ensure minimal disruption for road users.
