The Dunedin City Council (DCC) owns the Edgar Centre Building at 116 Portsmouth Drive, Dunedin. The Edgar Centre comprises three main parts, the ‘Wool Store’ building, the More FM Arena, and the entrance and function spaces. These sections were all constructed at different times between 1978 and 1996.

The DCC are seeking to partner with a suitably qualified, capable, and experienced main contractor to undertake work to address leaks and condensation build-up in all three sections of the building. Temporary repair work is required on the Wool Store roof, while permanent remediation work is required on the More FM roof and a section of roof between buildings known as the ‘Link’.

The Edgar Centre is a heavily utilised community events and recreational facility, offering indoor courts, an arena, conference/function spaces, and administration areas for the Trust and sports organisations. It is important that the supplier can work with key stakeholders and adhere to a tight schedule to ensure safe and continued delivery of the events programme.
