The Dunedin City Council (DCC) is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the University Oval number 1 sportsground to first-class cricket standards. Dunedin Venues Management Ltd (DVML) currently has the contract to maintain the grounds and facilities.

To maintain these standards, it has been recognised for a period of time that the outfield is not draining to the requirements of New Zealand cricket .

What we need
The DCC is aiming to engage an appropriately skilled and experienced partner/contractor to undertake the required remediation works within a specified time frame causing minimal disruption to cricket activities and to secure the ground as a future long-term venue for international and first-class cricket matches. Lifespan of this ground renovation work to be at least ten years from the date of completion of the physical works.
