Overview
Whakaora Te Waihora partners (Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu and Environment Canterbury), and the Te Waihora Management Board seek tenders for the testing of levels of the organochlorine pesticides (DDTs, dieldrin, lindane, hexachlorobenzene and chlordane), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and the heavy metals; arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), nickel (Ni) and zinc (Zn) in 20 samples of mahinga kai (customary food) gathered from Te Waihora (Lake Ellesmere), Canterbury.
