Environment Canterbury is seeking a skilled partner to deliver the migration from OpenText Content Manager to Microsoft 365 into a configured SharePoint Online and Microsoft Purview-based records environment to transition our authoritative platform for documents, records and rich media management.
This project will migrate our existing current records into a new environment which is has been constructed to incorporate information classification, retention and disposal rules, audit across digital and physical records, embedding privacy and security controls for personal and sensitive information, enabling compliant public access to redacted content into a robust, metadata‑driven architecture that supports automation where possible.
This project is a key step in workforce modernisation of our information management capability - enhancing our compliance with the Public Records Act and Privacy Act, streamlining collaboration, and enabling automation where possible.
Suppliers will have the opportunity to work closely with our internal Digital Solutions and Information Management (IM) teams in setting a benchmark for modern, compliant records management in local government.
We have already invested heavily in establishing our critical foundations, which includes Retention & Disposal (R&D) planning, Information and Microsoft platform Architecture design, Microsoft 365 configuration, Purview configuration and alignment with our Information and Data governance principles.
That preparatory work provides a solid baseline for a well-structured, controlled migration. We now require a partner with proven expertise in large-scale M365 migrations, Purview, and integration delivery to help us complete the transition efficiently, securely, and in line with our legislative obligations.
