Christchurch International Airport Limited (CIAL) is undertaking a remodelling of the air noise contours relating to the airport.
The outcome of the remodelling exercise will inform the review of the Canterbury Regional Policy Statement (CRPS), which is scheduled to be notified in December 2024. It will also inform the spatial planning exercise that has been initiated by the Greater Christchurch Partnership in conjunction with delivery of the Greater Christchurch 2050 Strategic Framework.
The update of the noise contours has now been completed by CIAL and the technical reports provided to Environment Canterbury.
Environment Canterbury is seeking to appoint a panel of independent Experts to undertake a robust technical peer review of the inputs, assumptions, and outcomes of the remodelling, using a transparent, objective, and defensible process.
