Overview
Environment Canterbury (ECan) is looking to replace our existing aquatic ecosystem health data systems:
• Stream Health Database – macroinvertebrate taxa and counts, stream habitat and periphyton type and cover data
• Separate spreadsheets containing the following data:
o Marine intertidal mudflats – sediment and macroinvertebrate data
o Periphyton and phytoplankton taxonomic data
o Fish species, count and length data
The aim is to have a single database that allows for the input, import, storage, analysis and reporting of aquatic ecosystem health data – both fresh water and marine – relating to, animals, plants, habitats.
