Environment Canterbury Regional Council (the Council) is seeking responses to this Call for Registrations of Interest (ROI) from suitably experienced contractors for the undertaking of capital and maintenance works associated with the Kaiapoi Flood Protection Project at McIntoshes Bend, Kaiapoi on the true left bank of the Waimakariri River as part of the Wamakariri Flood Protection Project. The work is being undertaken under the umbrella of the Governments “Shovel Ready” project, and as such is subject to the funding, rules and processes that are currently being put in place.
The purpose of this Registration of Interest is to short-list suitably qualified and experienced contractors to tender for the undertaking of work at McIntoshes Bend including:
Stopbank Rock Protection Works 15250t
Upgrading of River Rock Protection Works 10650t
New River Rock Protection Works 4250t
Rock cartage approximately 70km from View Hill Quarry (near Oxford) to site.
Rock removal and stockpiling 12250t
Tree removal
Respondents shall note that the actual quantum of work that will be undertaken will be subject to approval processes, programming and budgetary constraints. The Principal, at its sole discretion shall confirm the scope and extent of the works and reserves the right to delete, add to, or amend the scope as set out in this ROI.
Respondents are invited to register their interest in undertaking this contract. Respondents shall note that they are unlikely to be shortlisted unless they can demonstrate a proven track record and expertise in all aspects of the works covered by this contract.
