Overview

Expression of Interest

Central Hawkes Bay District Council Resilience and Strengthening Works Route 52 - Porangahau and Wimbledon Roads

Central Hawkes Bay District Council (CHBDC) has received Provincial Growth Funding (PGF) from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) to improve transport infrastructure for communities on Route 52 (Waipukurau – Porangahau).

A programme of works has been developed involving a number of projects and types of work, sited at various locations along the route.

CHBDC is now seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably experienced contractors to construct a series of retaining walls, bridge strengthening works and the Flaxmill Inundation Remedial Project (involving channel, drainage and roading improvements).

Council will be looking for Contractors who will maximise the broader opportunities this programme of works has the capacity to deliver, who have the competitive edge, and who will lead the way in delivering on the sustainable themes of environment, health and safety, economy prosperity and local employment over and beyond those that will be outlined within the contract specifications.

We wish to collaborate with suppliers who can partner with CHBDC to bring our THRIVE values to life.

The $15 - 17 million (approx.) work programme is to be completed by 30 June 2022.

Tender Documents will only be issued, without further notice, to successful respondents to this EOI process who have the appropriate NZTA Qualification Level for the scope of work.

The EOI process consists of submitting a one page letter outlining the contractor’s name, location, NZTA Qualification level(s) and a nominated point of contact and details during the tender process.

Only electronic submissions, made via GETs will be accepted.
Submissions closing date: 2pm via GETs, Wednesday 12 August 2020.

An interactive briefing workshop will be held with contractors who have responded to this EOI, on Monday 17 August 2020 from 10 am to 12 pm.

The purpose of this is to provide information to contractors, but also receive feedback on how best to deliver the programme in the current market and maximise the broader outcomes and benefits available.

Details will be released along with a briefing pack to the suppliers who have registered no later than Thursday 13th August 2020.
