The Riley Place Wastewater Pump Station, located in East Westport, serves a catchment of 102 houses situated in the east of Westport.
The catchment consists primarily of state housing built between the 1950s and 1970s. In previous state housing developments, sewer pipes were built through adjacent properties instead of installing pipes within road reserve. Since the initial construction, majority of the houses have been transferred ownership, resulting in only 20 properties left in Housing New Zealand ownership. The current pipework is reinforced concrete laid in 1950 and is in poor condition.
Along with the existing sewer issues, a reasonable number of houses have been identified as having stormwater connected to the sewer. This is particularly problematic on Rintoul St, where there is no stormwater main to remove these separated properties. This project will look at a solution to deal with stormwater from these separate elements.
Scope of Services
Council is looking for project management services to complete the Riley Place pump station project including;
• Business case development
• options assessment and confirmation
• design acceptance
• procurement for construction contracts,
• management of the delivery of the construction works including contract administrators,
• relationship management, claims and reporting with funding providers,
• communication to the community,
• communication to the infrastructure operations team
• Council project reporting till project closure.
