Buller District Council seeks Registrations of Interest from suitably qualified Consultant and/or Contractors [Respondents]; including joint-venture Respondent; for the pre-construction, design and construction upgrading works to the Buller District Council Brougham House Office & the Victoria Square Complex Building; two significant Council buildings located in the town of Westport.
This pre-construction, design and construction project works has an approved Council budget of two million, two hundred thousand dollars plus GST ($2,200,000 + gst). The project has an approved timeline and must be completed to the applicable compliant standards and handed over to Council by June 2021.
Buller District Council (BDC) requires a Respondent that can develop a strong working relationship with the Council and offer a robust pre-construction and design phase. Working closely alongside Council in 2019 is critical, to ensure the Council requirements are understood in order to produce a successful and financially viable construction build project. The Respondent must be motivated to achieve the Council’s requirements, within the approved budget and timeline. The Respondent must have reputable and recognised building construction experience and capable resources as Council assume minimal input in the construction phase of the project works following Council’s approved of the pre-construction and design elements.
Councils intend to undertake a multi-stage procurement process, including but not necessarily limited to:
•Stage 1: Registrations of Interest; to find out more about the market and the capability of Respondents.
•Stage 2: Following evaluation of ROIs, Council will shortlist and issue a Request for Proposal (RFP)
•Stage 3: Following evaluation of RFPs, Council proposes to award a contract.
