Overview

ACC has implemented the Ride Forever-branded, high-quality, and nationally consistent motorcycle and scooter training injury prevention programme. This initiative is explicitly aligned with the Competency Based Training Assessment (CBTA) component of Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency’s graduated motorcycle licensing framework. The programme is designed to equip riders with reliable information and professional training, enabling them to make informed decisions that help prevent and reduce injuries and accidents on New Zealand roads. It features a structured curriculum encompassing bronze, silver, and gold tiers to address differing levels of rider experience and needs.

ACC invites proposals from suppliers capable of delivering motorcycle and advanced rider training using the ACC Ride Forever syllabus. Suppliers should be able to demonstrate proven results, robust quality management in both administrative and training processes, and the ability to meet all technical and organisational requirements. We are seeking partners who will promote ongoing safety, resilience, and skill development, with the ultimate goal of reducing the number and severity of motorcycle accidents on New Zealand roads.

ACC does not want theoretical proposals about abstract or speculative approaches for motorcycle training, audit services or syllabus design, track-based training, or off-road training.

ACC seeks proposals from qualified and reputable suppliers with proven capability, experience, strong governance, and appropriate infrastructure to deliver the ACC Ride Forever syllabus and training programme to riders throughout New Zealand. Suppliers should demonstrate a good track record in management and possess a readiness to engage and support our community of practice through cooperative efforts with partner organisations.
