Clients who sustain permanent impairment resulting from a covered injury are entitled to an independent impairment assessment. This assessment determines whole person impairment, and entitlement for either a lump sum compensation, or an independence allowance. ACC must appoint and pay an appropriate impairment assessor in accordance with the Accident Compensation Act 2001. Applicants must have a current Annual Practicing Certificate with the Medical Council of New Zealand, and substantial post graduate experience in clinical practice. Vocational registration in Occupational Medicine, General Practice, or Psychiatry is preferred but other experienced medical practitioners may also apply. Training in the use of the American Medical Association Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, 4th Edition (AMA4), and the ACC User Handbook to AMA4 will be provided to successful applicants. Overview:	ACC’s Injury Prevention Strategy (2024-2033) focuses on reducing the incidence, severity, and long-term cost of injuries in New Zealand by targeting investment toward areas where the greatest measurable impact can be achieved. Through this procurement, ACC seeks innovative, scalable, and evidence-based approaches that can reduce injury incidence and severity within the construction industry, improve worker health and safety outcomes, and contribute to the long-term sustainability of the ACC Scheme. Suppliers will be expected to demonstrate how their proposed interventions will achieve measurable outcomes, effectively reach priority populations, and generate lasting behavioural and system-level change in on one or all of the following objectives: • Eye injuries (specifically increasing the use of Personal Protective Equipment [PPE]); • Work-related musculoskeletal injuries (specifically reducing worker exposure to hazardous working environments and improving the way work is planned, designed, resourced, supervised, and carried out); and • Slips, trips and falls (specifically reducing worker exposure to hazardous working environments and improving the way work is planned, designed, resourced, supervised, and carried out). This approach aligns directly with Injury Prevention’s new commissioning approach (evidence led, outcomes centred and balancing autonomy with accountability). Injury Prevention has set clear objectives and outcomes (identified through prescribed Intervention Logic Models and associated data sets), while allowing providers the flexibility to propose the initiatives and approaches they believe will best achieve them. This approach will invite suppliers to solve the challenge rather than respond to a predetermined approach. ACC's expectation is that initiatives will combine evidence-based approaches, effective engagement with construction businesses and workers, robust monitoring and evaluation, and a clear pathway to measurable injury prevention outcomes.

Overview:	Ride Forever is ACC’s nationally delivered motorcycle training programme, designed to support safer riding and reduce the incidence and severity of motorcycle-related injuries on New Zealand roads. The programme is currently delivered by 11 contracted suppliers who subcontract more than 50 trainers across New Zealand. ACC seeks a qualified and experienced supplier to deliver independent audit and assurance services for the Ride Forever Motorcycle Safety Programme training delivery network. The selected supplier will develop and apply an audit framework and methodology that enables ACC to obtain objective, evidence-based assurance over the quality, consistency, safety and compliance of Ride Forever training delivery. The service will include audit planning and scheduling, national delivery of audits, on-road observation where required, assessment against approved Ride Forever requirements, reporting of findings and non-conformance, and follow-up assurance activities where approved by ACC. The supplier will work directly with Ride Forever suppliers to schedule audits and will report findings, risks, observations, recommendations and corrective actions to ACC.
