Overview

ACC is seeking applications that align to the Grant Round 4 investment priority for Workplace Injury Prevention Grants (Grants) from New Zealand registered legal entities.

For the October 2021 funding round, ACC is seeking proposals from the following priority areas:
1. Managing psychosocial hazards and risk in the workplace through implementation of Good Work Design in high-risk sectors of:
• Construction
• Agriculture
• Manufacturing
• Transport (including Postal and Warehousing)
• Healthcare and Social Assistance
• Retail & Wholesale

2. Strengthening sector leadership to improve workplace safety outcomes and reduce injuries to workers in sub-industries of Agriculture and Manufacturing.

Applications must be focused on either innovation or system capability development. A minimum co-investment of 20% of the total grant amount requested from ACC is required in a cash and/or in-kind funding model.

All applications must evidence each of the outcomes we are seeking:

• within three years evidence a measured reduction in the number of work-related injuries and claims from the target sectors
• generate data that enables us to monitor outcomes and benefits for up to ten years
• exemplars of innovation or system capability development in the identification, prioritisation, and development of solutions
• develop industry-wide solutions to managing risk factors linked to injuries in the workplace

The funds available is an amount between $50,000 and $500,000 (GST exclusive) per year for a maximum of three years.

The Expressions of Interest (EOI) and associated registration for a login on the online application portal SM Apply opens on 9am NZDT, Friday 15 October 2021.
