Overview

ACC has established the Ride Forever branded national motor cycle training programme, a nationally consistent, high quality, injury prevention training programme, which is explicitly linked to the NZ Transport Agency’s motorcycle licensing regime. ACC expects 27,500 riders to complete the training by 30 June 2020 and has current contracts in place to provide the training to approximately 7,500 riders per annum. These contracts ensure that the training programme is available in all regions across New Zealand.

ACC is now seeking suitably qualified and experienced motorcycle training providers to deliver the Ride Forever training to approximately 2,500 additional riders per annum until 2020.

If you don’t want to hold a contract directly but have the necessary experience and capability to deliver the training you could sub-contract via/work for one of the successful bidders/contract holders.

If you are interested in this opportunity, we intend to go to market via a Registration of Interest (ROI) in late April – early May 2018, followed by a Request for Proposal (RFP) in late May – early June 2018.

In the ROI we will want to:
1. confirm whether you meet the minimum requirements for providing the trainings, and
2. understand your capacity to deliver the training programme in various parts of the country. We are keen to hear from you regardless of whether you can partially meet/ fully meet/ exceed our capacity requirements.

RFP:

If you hold a current contract for the programme delivery you may be asked, among other questions, to provide a detailed written response relating to:
1. Substantiating the capacity you claimed in the ROI

If you do not hold a current contract for the programme delivery you may be asked, among other questions, to provide a detailed written response relating to:
1. Proposed solution
2. Capability (experience)
3. Substantiating the capacity you claimed in the ROI

Please note ACC reserve the right to amend the procurement process at anytime.
