Overview

Invitation to register for Home and Community Support Services workshops

The healthcare landscape is changing and we need to keep pace with this. The current Home and Community Support Services contract started September 2012. Since then there’s been significant changes (for example: in-between travel and guaranteed hours).

HCSS plays a critical role in the lives of New Zealanders and we are keen to work with you over the next year to design a new service delivery model to prepare for a new contract in September 2018. Your contribution and valuable feedback will help ensure the service is well positioned to deliver the best client outcomes, is sustainable and affordable, and is flexible enough to meet the evolving needs of both the sector and clients.

We are kicking off the design phase with a series of workshops in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch in late September 2017, and we encourage you to get involved and have a say in how we design the new service. Attached is the HCSS redesign stakeholder update and the HCSS registration for workshops.

To register for a workshop - open the HCSS registration for workshops attachment to read the instructions and follow the link to register. Note: every person who wishes to attend will need to individually register via the link.

Who should attend: All providers, clients or ACC staff who are involved with, or have an interest in, HCSS are invited to participate in co-design workshops.

We hope to see you at the workshops.
