Health NZ is one of the country's largest and most significant public sector organisations, providing suppliers with the opportunity to deliver services that directly contribute to the safety and wellbeing of staff, patients, whānau, visitors, and communities across the motu. Security Officers directly contribute to safe healthcare environments, managing risk, responding to incidents, and working alongside frontline healthcare workers in challenging and often complex situations.
We are seeking suppliers that can demonstrate the capability, capacity, and operational maturity required to deliver safe, effective, and high-quality Security Officer Services within complex healthcare environments across a single or multiple Districts. Detailed requirements are included in the RFP Document under Section 2: Our Requirements.
We are looking for providers that can demonstrate how they will:
• Deliver safe, reliable, and professional security services in complex healthcare environments.
• Ensure their Security Officers can safely manage interactions in a healthcare setting with staff, patients, whānau, contractors and visitors; including situations involving mental distress, cognitive impairment, substance-related harm, violence and/or aggressive behaviour.
• Adhere to all relevant legislation, regulations, industry standards, licences, certifications, Health NZ policies, and site-specific requirements.
• Provide value through both competitive up-front pricing and an ongoing focus on optimising Health NZ’s limited resources.
• Partner effectively with us through proactive account management and continuous improvement.
Please note, Attachments for MidCentral (U) and Whanganui (V) will be uploaded as an addendum next week.
