Far North District Council (FNDC) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from experienced and capable landfill operators with a proven track record wishing to
participate in the procurement process for the renewal of the contract to operate the Russell Landfill which is due to expire June 2021.

The Russell landfill is an unlined landfill, adjacent to the wastewater treatment plant on Russell Road, approximately 300m from Matauwhi Bay.
The landfill has an estimated 8 years capacity remaining, subject to final profiles which are being assessed now. The current resource consent expires in April 2023.
