Overview

The Taheke Hall is located on SH12, 18km west of Kaikohe, and is situated adjacent to the community Rugby Fields and Netball Courts.
As well as a Public Hall, the Taheke Hall premises are used by the local committee to host regular rugby league games which can attract up to 300 guests to the community.
The Taheke Hall forms part of the network of facilities under the Far North District Councils Halls and Facilities Strategy 2015 (HFS). The expectation of the HFS is to ensure
all facilities are accessible to all members of the community regardless of age or physical ability, be well maintained, and comply with building, fire and health regulations applicable to the community, district,
and regional context of the facility.
Christiansen Building Services was engaged to undertake an assessment of the buildings overall condition. The condition assessment states that the building requires significant maintenance to the foundations,
structure, services and internal linings to meet the principles outlined in the HFS.
