The External Reporting Board ("XRB") is seeking services from an external Supplier to develop a credible “world-class” Reporting Framework that supports Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) for all Aotearoa New Zealand reporting entities to use.
Given the size and complexity of this Project, the XRB will undertake the development of this Framework in at least two stages.
Stage 1 - will run a due process to develop a draft principles-based framework focusing on Māori reporting entities. The Framework will specifically consider and be drawn from He Ara Waiora.
Stage 2 - will take the draft Framework as a base and then determine whether any amendments or further guidance is needed for application to other New Zealand reporting entities in different sectors – such as the for profit, not for profit or public sectors.
Each stage will be informed by other international ESG reporting frameworks to the extent they are deemed credible and suitable for use by NZ entities with the ultimate goal of one reporting framework for all reporting entities to use.
This Project is designed to produce in the first instance, a framework for Māori entities to externally report the intergenerational and interconnected impact of the various activities they undertake.
The procurement process will be a two-step process involving this ROI then shortlisted Respondents will be invited into the RFP step.
