On behalf of Wellington City Council Wellington Zoo Trust is planning to redevelop an area of the Zoo as a new habitat for Snow Leopards. Wellington Zoo Trust invites experienced and qualified companies to respond to this Registration of Interest (ROI) for the design, production and installation of interpretive elements related to Visitor Experience for this new habitat.
This CAPEX project is to complete the Asia experience by redeveloping an existing vacant animal habitat in a prime visitor location to house Snow Leopards. The construction of this project is to be phased over the 2020/21 and 2021/22 financial years with a target completion date of 2022. This important project provides further opportunities for our community to engage with global conservation issues.
Interpretive elements will be contextual and are expected to comprise (but are not limited to) a combination of signage, AV, building dressing, colour, texture, play and interactive elements for all ages which incorporate both learning and fun. These elements are expected to be incorporated into the design phase of the project.
