The key objectives of this engagement are to support Wellington Water Ltd (WWL)/Tiaki Wai (TW) in developing a robust economic framework to inform future regional water security investment decisions. Specifically, the engagement seeks to:

- Develop an appropriate methodology to quantify the economic benefits associated with the provision of secure drinking water services across the Wellington region
- Assess and demonstrate the economic impacts and benefits associated with alternative investment pathways and corresponding levels of service
- Identify and isolate the economic benefits that can be directly attributed to the proposed Metering Programme investment
- Validate and confirm the cost benefit assessment for the preferred Water Metering investment option to support future investment and business case development
