Overview

We need a Civil Contractor with proven experience working with potable water pressure pipes and our drinking water network to enter into a term maintenance contract with our Operations and Engineering team to provide capability to replace watermains reactively and in a time efficient manner. The intent of this Contract is to deliver simple watermain projects with a maximum annual budget of $3.5 million, noting that this value is not guaranteed. We may seek to add additional sites if we have excess budget. The initial scope for pricing consists of 10 sites detailed in Section 7 for completion by 30 June 2026 (Separable Portion 1). Following this, the contract may be extended by one year (Separable Portion 2). The works to be completed in Separable Portion 2 (year 2) are still to be confirmed. Pricing will be based on scheduled rates from year 1 with an inflation adjustment applied. Year two scope would also work to a set annual budget of $3.5 million in a similar manner as year one. We need a Contractor that is flexible and able to work independently. We may need to change the work sites as our needs change. In return we will endeavour to minimise changes and ensure the quantity and scale of work does not vary significantly. Each site has unique site-specific conditions but generally encapsulate the installation of a water main in alignment with the WWL specification and standard, and the abandonment of the existing main. This detail is provided in the RFQ Document.
