This project is part of Porirua City Council’s capital works program. An opportunity for a consultant to manage the investigation, design phases and be part of the procurement process of this project.

The project is at 23 Tasman Close, Aotea, Porirua. A section of local wastewater pipe bridge, approximately 32m has collapsed due to slope instability. Initial investigation shows the pipe bridge has settled along the ridge line due to possible instability of the soil. At stake is a potential high risk both to the public and environmental as well as visible damage to the pipeline bridge.

We require a permanent solution to address future failure and that could include but not limited to soil and environmental investigation of the area. In addition, the currently out of service water supply pipeline that runs parallel to the wastewater lines shall be investigated as well, although this will need to be confirmed with WWL principal engineer.
