The de-sludging of the Te Marua Lagoon is a critical maintenance activity aimed at restoring the lagoon’s operational capacity and ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
Over time, significant volumes of sludge have accumulated in the lagoon, resulting in the need for a systematic and effective de-sludging and dewatering process. The scope of work involves the removal of sludge deposits from the lagoon, dewatering the material, and preparing it for compliant disposal—either placed strategically around the lagoon or transported to landfill, subject to meeting resource consent requirements.
The primary objective of this procurement is to identify and engage a value-for-money contractor with the capability to deliver a fit-for-purpose solution to de-sludge and dewater the lagoon contents effectively.
