WellingtonNZ is the Wellington region’s economic development agency. Our shareholders are Wellington City Council (WCC – 80%) and Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC – 20%). In 2018, WellingtonNZ redefined its purpose as being: to make the Wellington region wildly famous. This reflects WellingtonNZ’s primary role as the region’s marketing and destination storytelling engine. We want the Wellington region to be wildly famous as the best place to visit as a tourist, host an event or conference, start a business, make a film, study as a student, migrate to or invest in. By making the Wellington region wildly famous as the premier place in New Zealand to live, visit, work and play, we will create a platform for the region to prosper – both economically but also in terms of vibrancy and liveability. Venues Wellington is the division of WellingtonNZ that manages the operations of Wellington’s City Council’s Venues.

The events we operate fall into one of two distinct but complimentary categories: In our performance and exhibition space we host major international concerts, long and short run commercial theater, subscription seasons and one-off performances from New Zealand’s leading arts companies, comedy, sports, family shows, trade shows and exhibitions and community events. In our conference and business events streams we host everything from small morning tea’s, day meetings, single and multi-day conferences, gala dinners, launches, cocktail events. Our venues are multi-purpose. Our operations, and key supply partners need to be flexible in their approach to maximise venue usage for the Wellington community. Venues Wellington is focused on providing outstanding service to both the hirers of the venues and the patrons who attend. We look to support local providers and products, and to tell the Wellington story.

There are 2 distinct services within the solution we are looking for. Firstly, is the custodial, deep clean and periodical cleaning services that keep our venues looking clean and modern throughout the year; secondly is the event-based cleaning – pre, during and post the event. As part of these services we require the supply and management of all auxiliary services.
