Overview

Wairaka Land Company (WLC) on behalf of Unitec invites you to submit an RFP for the Supply and Installation of a Library Security System for the new Hub Building (library and resources) on the Mt Albert ‘Wairaka Campus’.

Unitec is now entering an exciting stage in its property redevelopment. One of the first developments is the construction of an additional 1,300 square metres to the existing Hub on its Wairaka Campus.

The Hub project comprises alterations and additions and refurbishment of two adjacent buildings in the Wairaka Campus on Carrington Road, Mt Albert to create a library, retail, performance and teaching and learning space – allowing for social and collaborative nodes. The Hub project will be Unitec’s “heart”, a space to attract and foster student meetings and interaction. This will be the face of Unitec.
Construction began in Q1 2016 and is due to be operational in Mid-2017.
Consequently, we are issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Library Security Systems at the Unitec Campus Hub.

The intent of the Request for Proposal is to assess the options for Library Security Systems on the Australasian market, understand the hardware equipment solutions (advantages and disadvantages) and costs. Unitec will be guided by the responses received to acquire an integrated solution for a library security system in line with the overall design objective of a “campus without walls”.

The information provided within the proposals will guide and enable Unitec to procure a library security system that best fits the needs of the library and the Unitec community.

This document is for the purpose of inviting the submission of Tenders. It is not an offer by Unitec to purchase products or services, nor does it create any legal relations between Unitec and the Supplier.
